There is a historic city
between NY and DC,
That's proudly known
as the Cradle of Liberty.
In the City of Philadelphia
over 200 years ago,
America claimed Independence
and our pride still shows.
The Liberty Bell is silent
but symbolic bells will ring,
As people dance in the streets
and songs of freedom sing.
We're Having a Party
with a half-million guests,
They couldn't break our spirit
the Country stood the test.
Happy Birthday America
the stars and stripes still wave,
We'll sing our National Anthem
with voices loudly raised.
And in the velvet darkness
as fireworks explode above,
We'll say a prayer for freedom
and the Country that we love.
